In Berkeley County, West Virginia, we are taking swift, lifesaving action after our in-depth investigation revealed that Berkeley County Animal Control violated state animal cruelty laws multiple times by intentionally, knowingly, and recklessly withholding necessary medical treatment from animals in its shelter.
We will not let animals suffer in silence any longer. We’ve taken the case directly to West Virginia’s highest court, and we won’t stop until veterinary care is provided to all animals in Animal Control’s shelter, abused animals receive justice, and a truly humane animal control agency is created that guarantees real protection.
In East Bay, California, we are acting on multiple levels to fight a new lethal policy to remove cats from parklands. In the Port of Newcastle, Australia, we are working with Australia’s Animal Justice Party to confront the misinformed policies that led to a government-sanctioned cat massacre and stop the killing.
