Alley Cat Allies is actively educating communities nationwide about community cats, and helping them make humane change. Through hosting workshops and working with shelters and policymakers, we are helping the Montgomery County, Maryland community save more cats.
We have been educating Montgomery County shelter staff and helping introduce humane policies like Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). Montgomery County recently accepted a Community Cat Protocol, written by Alley Cat Allies, in favor of protecting community cats. Our staff has partnered with the county shelter to host regular TNR and community cat workshops to help community members take action. With our support, Montgomery County is making the push towards crucial change for cats.
