HOUSTON, TXAlley Cat Allies will host two workshops on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and how to advocate for community cats in Texas. The first workshop in Houston, Texas will be held at the South Texas College of Law on June 25. The second workshop in Brenham, Texas will be held at the Brenham Police Department on June 27.

Houston workshop: An opportunity for community members to learn what they can do to humanely and effectively reduce the population of community catsalso called feral cats and how to be advocates for cats. Representatives from Alley Cat Allies will explain Trap-Neuter-Return and how it works, how to care for a community cat colony, and how to lobby local government for policies that protect cats. The event is free, and refreshments will be provided.

Brenham workshop: The facts on humane care for cats and anti-cruelty laws, as well as Trap-Neuter-Return and how to care for community cats. The event is free; there will be snacks and cans of cat food for all attendees. Also, 20 lb. bags of dry cat food will be given to the first 20 people to attend.
