Make a Memorial Gift

Few things are more difficult than losing a beloved companion. Now you can honor the memory of your loved one (or someone else’s) by helping a cat or kitten. A Memorial Gift will help you celebrate those whose memories fill your heart.  When you donate in memory of a loved one, you can choose to have an ecard emailed or a physical card mailed to notify them of your generous gift. You also have the option to memorialize a loved one with an online memorial listing in the Alley Cat Allies Remembrance Gallery.

Make a Gift in Honor

For birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, remembrances, or “just because it feels right,” a donation in someone’s honor is a loving way to express your admiration while sharing your passion for protecting feral cats and kittens. When you donate in honor of someone, you can choose to have an ecard emailed or a physical card mailed to notify them of your generous gift.

Tribute Plaques

Our Tribute Plaques are a meaningful way to commemorate animals and those who love them. Not only do they provide a special way to celebrate a loved one’s life and legacy, they also help sustain and support our lifesaving work for cats. A gift of $1,000 or more entitles you to a tribute plaque honoring your loved one. The inscribed plaque will be placed on the wall of our headquarters. With a gift of $5,000 or more, an image of your loved one will be added to the plaque.

Memorial and In-Honor of Gifts

What is the difference between an in-honor gift and a memorial gift?

A memorial gift is a donation that is made in memory of a person or animal who has passed away.

A gift in honor can be for any reason, for example, just to let someone know how much they mean to you. In honor donations are often for holidays and birthday gifts, weddings, and anniversary celebrations or as thank you gifts.

How much do I need to donate for a tribute card or ecard?

There is a $5.00 minimum but usually around $15 is donated to have a card or ecard sent in honor or memory of a loved one.

Do I have to make my donation for a tribute card online?

No, you can also call our toll-free number 1-866-309-6207 to make a tribute donation over the phone, and we will mail your card to the person of your choice. However, tribute ecards can only be sent by using the online donation form.

Do I need to make a gift to add a memorial to the Remembrance Gallery?

No. You can add a listing to Alley Cat Allies’ Remembrance Gallery to memorialize a loved one with an online memorial listing, including a personalized message and an optional photograph. Learn more about the Remembrance Gallery and submit an entry today. View the Gallery.

Can I have more than one card sent per donation?

No. We’re sorry, we can only mail one card per donation.

How much do I need to donate for a tribute plaque?

There are currently three tribute plaque options:

  • 4×6″ 4 lines, 22 characters per line (Gift of $1,000)
  • 5×7″ 6 lines, 26 characters per line (Gift of $2,500)
  • 5×7″ 4 lines with photo, 26 characters per line (Gift of $5,000)
How will I know what my tribute plaque looks like?

An image of your plaque will be sent to you by mail or email after it is made.
