The big week is here! Global Cat Day® and National Feral Cat Day® 2025 are October 16!

There is so much to be done to spread the word about lifesaving programs and policies for cats and take action on cats’ behalf around the world. That’s why we encourage you to take a National Feral Cat Day Action for cats where you live this year!

National Feral Cat Day is the action component of Global Cat Day, which is about embracing the global truth that Cats Are CommunityTM. This powerful statement is recognition that cats have lived alongside us for thousands of years, have a rightful place in our communities, and are beings with inherent value who deserve to be protected.

Every year at this time, advocates from around the globe take to the ground in their communities to help cats and kittens, and then take to social media to inspire others to join them. These advocates share Alley Cat Allies’ mission and our deep belief that every cat deserves to live his or her life to the fullest. And, they take action alongside us to help make it happen, from doing Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) in their communities to handing out educational materials to donating to save cats’ lives.
