The Sparks, Nevada City Council will be considering an ordinance that will outlaw community cat colonies on private and public property. Sparks’ shelter has implemented Trap-Neuter-Return for years and saved many lives, but this decision would change all of that. If the ordinance passes, the dedicated volunteers and taxpayers who provide food, TNR and veterinary services to community cat colonies, as well as the landowners who permit colonies on their property, will face legal action.

Sparks, NV Residents: Ask the Sparks City Council to reject the ordinance banning community cat colonies.

TNR is the only humane and effective approach to community cats. Without this lifesaving program, the shelters serving Sparks will be forced to kill them.
