michigan_action_wrapperMacomb County Animal Shelter in Michigan has adopted a lifesaving TNR program. But some cities in the county want to stop using the shelter’s services so that they can keep killing feral cats. Alley Cat Allies has been working with local groups and individuals to encourage these cities to save cats’ lives.

Thanks to everyone who has spoken out against inhumane policies for catsand to the dedication of the shelter and local groupstwo cities in Macomb County have already agreed to a TNR pilot program with the shelter.

We are producing educational materials for Macomb County to hand out to educate community members about feral cats and TNR, and we will continue to support the shelter as it expands its TNR program to protect the lives of cats.
