Alley Cat Allies has more stories of saving cats’ and kittens’ lives than we could ever hope to tell, and it’s all thanks to the generosity and dedication of our supporters! Here are just a few of those stories:
Saving Kittens With a Rooftop Rescue
Alley Cat Allies is always ready to jump in to save cats’ lives! When members of our team in New Jersey were informed about kittens on the roof of a police station, they helped set a rescue in motion.
The kittens—Ash, Shay, Hal, Chase, and Charm—were a little overheated and a lot nervous as a firefighter carried them down one by one. But our team ensured they were rushed to veterinary care at an organization with which we work closely. They’ve been examined and are safe and sound as they await forever homes of their own.
In fact, the firefighter who saved them is considering adopting!
Muffin’s Incredible Transformation
Talk about an incredible before and after! Muffin, who we believe was abandoned, was almost at the point of no return when she was first rescued. But thanks to Alley Cat Allies’ close work with veterinary allies, she was able to receive the immediate care she needed to survive, including lifesaving fluids and antibiotics.
Not even a few weeks later, Muffin has gone from nearly immobile with anemia and pneumonia to pouncing, jumping, running, and playing with that signature kitten enthusiasm! Her swift recovery is a testament to the expertise of our veterinarian friends—and the power of your compassion in action. Together, we are improving community resources that provide critical access to care.
Muffin is searching for the right family to adopt her, and we can’t wait to see her off on the next step of her journey! Learn how to bring Muffin home here.
Tiny Marble, Big Eater
What an appetite! Now that she’s been rescued from a shelter, we’re providing Marble with the round-the-clock care she needs to grow up strong. She has a bright, happy future ahead of her, and it’s all thanks to our supporters like you!
Every gift helps us protect more cats and kittens like Marble: alleycat.org/Donate.
Providing Access to Care to Save Kittens’ Lives
Alley Cat Allies’ close collaboration with veterinary allies is expanding access to care, especially spay and neuter services. When a family found themselves overwhelmed with more kittens than they could support, one of those collaborations not only fostered and cared for the kittens, but ensured both mom and dad were spayed and neutered. No more litters for them, and happier days ahead!
Now, Baloo, Bagheera, Everest, and many more kittens are ready to find forever homes of their own—spayed or neutered, of course! Before they take that next step, we wanted to share some of their adorable photos…because your support made their care possible!
And if you’d like to be the one to take them home, meet all of our adoptable cats and kittens here.
Bring Sprout Home Today
It’s official—Sprout is ready to be adopted!
If you’ve been following us, you may remember when we first rescued Sprout and his sister, Daffodil. Both had been abandoned at a critical time in their kitten growth and needed urgent medical care.
After months of TLC with us, Sprout is now looking for a forever home to call his own! Despite everything he’s been through, Sprout has a heart full of love and isn’t shy about showing it—he’ll even nuzzle his head against yours to gently ask for attention.
If you’re searching for a loving, loyal, and playful best friend, Sprout is your guy! Learn how to adopt him.
Welcome Home, Bee
Buttercup—now Bee—has come so far from the tiny, days-old kitten rescued from certain death in a shelter without humane policies. Thanks to your support, he received loving care from day one, and now he’s quite the big boy!
We were thrilled to receive update photos from Bee’s new family and compare them to the teeny kitten we first met. He and his siblings, whom we call the Spring Kittens, are truly off to bigger and better things (namely, comfy cat naps!). We’re so proud to have played a part in their journey and we hope you are, too!
