A Happy Update on George – But His Shooter is Still Out There
We checked in on George, who was the victim of unimaginable cruelty in Henrietta Township, Ohio. We’re so thrilled to report that he’s doing great in his new home!
George was shot by a shotgun, which wounded his back leg so severely that it had to be surgically amputated. Alley Cat Allies covered the costs of the procedure thanks to our supporters like you, and he’s recovered incredibly well. In fact, he runs around his new house like it’s going out of style! And, he’s getting along with his new cat and dog siblings.
While it’s heartwarming to know that George is doing well, the perpetrator of his attack is still out there. Alley Cat Allies is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction. Learn more.
Alley Cat Allies Applauds Sentencing of Man Who Shot a Community Cat
Alley Cat Allies applauds the sentencing of Elvis Fistik for his heinous act of shooting community cat Patrick with a crossbow arrow and killing at least one other cat. He’ll be serving two years in prison, as well as three years of probation, and paid restitution.
Miraculously, Patrick survived his injury after the attack in March 2023.
Cat victims of cruelty so often don’t achieve justice. That’s why Alley Cat Allies works across the country to strengthen anti-cruelty laws, encourage prosecution, and assist in investigations by offering rewards.

We Saved a Jumping Bean
Bean is one of many kittens receiving veterinary treatment through Alley Cat Allies grants. She’s still recovering—but she hasn’t lost any of her go-getter spirit!
THANK YOU for helping us provide cats and kittens like Bean access to care every day. Each and every gift has a lifesaving impact.
Impact Story: Protecting Paprika
Meet the lovely little Paprika!
Abandoned and brought to a shelter in Maryland, Paprika needed an immediate change of scenery—and a trip to the veterinarian—to thrive. Alley Cat Allies is covering the costs of her care, as we are for cats in communities across the country.
We’ll share Paprika updates as she recovers, and tales of some of the other kittens we’re protecting right now thanks to our supporters like you!
Celebrating the Strong Bonds of Community Cats
Community cats are truly bonded to their feline family members! Lil Cat and Keegan adore each other; they are a beautifully bonded pair and the very best of friends. Every day, they play, groom, eat, and sleep together in their outdoor home!
Both are cared for and protected by Alley Cat Allies (including through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), of course!).
