Cook County’s policy for feral and community cats is a model nationwide of successful, life-saving approaches for catsbut this ordinance is being reviewed next week by County Commissioners and could be weakened.

Thanks to the dedication of so many local organizations and caregivers, the Chicago area now has one of the country’s most successful TNR programs. Since 2007, well over 15,000 cats have been spayed or neutered and vaccinated by just PAWS Chicago and Tree House Humane Society alone!

This coming Tuesday, Cook County Commissioners are holding a hearing to review the feral cat ordinance. Make sure this successful Trap-Neuter-Return ordinance gets the support it deserves!
