Last year advocates in New Jersey helped us start Trap-Neuter-Return at Bayside State Prison and now the cats are in danger. The Prison’s administration has imposed a feeding ban and cats who have been living on the prison grounds for more than 10 years are now suddenly without food.

Residents of New Jersey: Tell Bayside State Prison to lift the feeding ban and let Administrator John Powell know you want the cats to stay safe.

We are working with several groups in New Jersey, and we’ve contacted the prison’s administration to urge them to work with us to set up feeding stations and other colony care best practices that are essential to a successful TNR program. Taxpayer dollars have been invested in the cats of Bayside State Prison, and it would be cruel and unwise to jeopardize them when an easy answer to prison administration’s concerns is available.
