As part of a plan to bolster Mobile County, Alabama’s community cat program, Alley Cat Allies has awarded Azalea City Cat Coalition with a $5,000 grant and trapping equipment. Alley Cat Allies and Azalea City Cat Coalition are committed to helping community cats in Mobile County through effective programs like Trap-Neuter-Return. Communities across the country are implementing lifesaving programs like TNR to protect and stabilize community cat populations.

The grant and trapping equipment provided by Alley Cat Allies will give Azalea City Cat Coalition more tools and support for their existing community cat program, which includes Trap-Neuter-Return and low-cost spay and neuter assistance for community cats. With a stronger TNR program, Mobile County will be able to focus on lifesaving programs for adoptable cats, and improve the community for both cats and residents.
