Holidays
11 paid holidaysNew Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s Birthday, President’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, Friday after Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, the day before or after Christmas (to be determined by management).
Vacation
15 days accrued each year for new hires (first two years of employment), 20 days for two years to six years of employment, 25 days after six years of employment.
Sick Leave
12 days of sick time accrued each year. Sick leave can be used for personal illness or injury, for doctor or dental appointments, or to care for an ill family or household member, including companion animals.
Medical Coverage
Alley Cat Allies offers the CareFirst BlueChoice Plus plan for anyone located inside the BlueChoice service area and the CareFirst BluePreferred PPO plan for members outside of the BlueChoice service area. Employee’s portion of the premiums are paid with pre-tax dollars.
Dental Coverage
The optional Dental Plan offers coverage for preventative, basic, and major services through MetLife.
Vision Coverage
Discounted vision coverage for eye exams, lenses, frames and/or contact lenses is offered through MetLife.
Retirement Savings 403(b)
Eligible employees have the option to invest in a 403(b) tax-deferred annuity. The plan includes an employer match of up to 2 percent of pay after one year of employment and an employer contribution of 3 percent of pay after one year of employment, subject to limitations imposed by the Internal Revenue Code.
Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care and Dependent Care)
Eligible employees have the option to enroll in a flexible spending account for health care and/or dependent care. Employees may enroll in the plan at the commencement of employment, during any open enrollment season, or pursuant to a qualifying life event. Contributions to these plans are subject to the annual maximums as defined by the IRS.
Life and Disability Insurance
Eligible employees are covered under both short-term and long-term disability insurance programs and up to $50,000 in life insurance benefits.
