Even during the holiday season, Alley Cat Allies is always hard at work to protect cats and kittens with our expertise, fearless advocacy, and lifesaving programs. And because our supporters like you make it all possible, we want to share with you just some of the individual stories of transformation and healing. Each of these cats represents the wider-reaching impact of our work, and we hope they inspire you as much as they do us!

Gabby’s Amazing Transformation

Just look at that before and after!

Alley Cat Allies’ latest Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) collaboration with the Humane Society of Atlantic County is reaching thousands of cats and kittens like Gabby with critical resources, from lifesaving veterinary care to nutritious wet food at no cost to caregivers.

Weeks ago, tiny tabby Gabby needed immediate treatment for an upper respiratory infection that was impacting her eyesight. But as you can see from her photo today, she’s feeling much better—and just received her spay surgery through our TNR collaboration! Gabby has a long, happy life ahead of her, and we’re proud to be part of her story and so many others.

We hope you are, too. YOU make this work possible!

It’s Official: Bean Completed His FIP Treatment

Amazing news: Bean has officially completed his Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) medication and is doing better than ever!

Alley Cat Allies works closely with veterinarians to provide access to expert care for cats and kittens, and that includes for challenging diseases like FIP. FIP is fatal without the right treatment, and the recovery process needs to be closely monitored. But we have an incredible success rate with FIP care, and high hopes that Bean has nothing but bright days ahead! He deserves them, after all he’s been through.

Bean, abandoned on the side of the road at not even a year old, was emaciated and covered in fleas when an Alley Cat Allies team member happened upon him. And before FIP was diagnosed and treatment began, he suffered a debilitating seizure that left him nearly blind.

But we knew Bean was determined to live, and we weren’t about to give up. Day by day, week by week, Bean got back on his feet and gained healthy weight…and a bit more of his eyesight. Bean is the type of cat to purr and explore at the veterinarian’s office and bond with people and other cats even while feeling his worst. In short: he’s sweet and tough in equal measure!

Now that his 84-day FIP treatment course is done, we’re going to keep a close eye on Bean to ensure he doesn’t relapse. But since he spends his days lounging in comfort and playing with his best friend Queenie, we have a good feeling we have nothing to worry about.

Your generosity and compassion are the reason we can save cats like Bean every single day, and support the community resources that protect cats far into the future.

ADOPTED: Welcome Home, Tallulah

If you’ve been following Alley Cat Allies on social media or here on our website, you may have seen our recent posts about Tallulah’s story. As a tiny senior cat, she was abandoned outdoors. By the time she was rescued, she was emaciated and had an injury so severe that one of her legs could not be saved. Surgical removal was the only option to provide her with relief.

Alley Cat Allies covered the costs of Tallulah’s surgery and her continued care through her recovery. Despite being an older lady, Tallulah is adjusting quite well to life on three legs, and she still loves nothing more than to be petted and held.

And today, we’re so happy to announce that she’s found a forever home where she can have that safety and love through her golden years!

Your support helped save Tallulah’s life, and we couldn’t be more grateful. See our recent video on her story.
