Yoda & Cinnamon
I have lots of cats at our farm, but my 2 wonderful house cats, Yoda and Cinnamon are who I'm most thankful for. Yoda is the sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever known. His purring lights up my life. He always knows how to make me smile! Cinnamon is the most forgiving cat of all time, and he's a wonderful friend. I can always count on him to be there for me at all times!

Linus & Kitty
I know this is a few days late, but I am always thankful for my 2 rescue cats, Linus and Kitty, for being my angels (and sometimes little devils), and for bringing so much joy into my life. They have added so much to my life, and are so nice to come home to and cuddle up with. I am also thankful for the strays I feed in my apartment complex, as well as all of the cats in my rescue group. I truly believe they enrich my life more than I do theirs, and whatever love I can give them I am happy to do it!
I love all of the cats mentioned above, as well as all the others, and hope they can all be safe and happy this holiday season!

Minnie, Peanut & Kitty
Minnie came into our lives 16 years ago around Christmas. We adopted her from the local MSPCA after she had been returned TWICE for being too "noisy"! She greets me with a loud hello every time I see her, and nothing makes me smile like her meows. She is the love of my life, and I'm so thankful that she's been my source of comfort and joy through some very hard times. I am also thankful for Peanut and Kitty, two wonderful cats who lived long (16 and 20 years, respectively) and happy lives and who brought us much happiness.

Ceasar, Maple, Peaches & Belle
My 4 sweet, fuzzy babies all came into my life at differant times and under differant circumstances. I am so thankful to have them everyday. They have helped me thru many tough times. A few years back, I went thru a very bad depression and the only reson I got out of bed during that time was to take care of my babies. I will be forever grateful to them for giving me the motivation to get up and move on with my life. Ceasar, Maple Peaches and Belle; Mommy will love you all forever.

I am also thankful for Bibi, who has been our rock and true companion for 20 years, and is now, very sadly coming to the end of his wonderful life. Thank you Bibi for always being there, we will never forget you.

Yoos, Yoshi, Boi
Yoos. For the 21 years of fun and, unconditonal love that she gave. The paw on the head to remind me that I needed to get out of bed in the morning. So that she could have it. But most of all for teaching me that love and caring continue even after they're gone.
Yoshi. My lifesaver, a resuce cat. He makes it great to come home, even if it is a disater. He likes to explore and needs to check everthing daily to make that it the same. He picks is side of the bed and I get the other. he enjoys the cool autum nights.
Boi, The stray I took in, hoping to find him a home. He's got his battle scars, a lame foot and a crooked back but dosen't slow him down. He holds his own and made place with me. All he wants is lap to sit on and a scratch behind the ear. I get so much in return, abandoned why?

Jack & Owsley
This is Jack. He came into my life as an alley cat. I stalked him and his siblings for days until one day he just walked up and wanted to be taken in. While his siblings were not as tame and could not be caught, I was able to adopt Owsley from a rescue organization 6 weeks later. Jack does several funny things, including tucking himself in bed, as seen here. He and Owsley bring so much joy to my life, and now my husband's life. They inspired me to work with Nashville's Pet Community Center to trap, neuter and return 22 cats in my community. Up to 18 of them still feed on my porch every night. I'm justifiably a crazy cat lady, but it doesn't phase me one bit. All cats, especially ones who aren't able to live indoors in forever homes, deserve love, care and compassion.

For all the kitties in the last 27 years that have blessed my life. Too many to mention. Currently we have 2 girls, Scully and Trudie. 4 boys, Garfield, Lemew, Odie and Max.
Cats are the greatest! My "kids" greet me at the door when I came home from work. My boys sleep with us on our bed. Many night I have trouble turning in bed because I am "trapped" in by at least 2 or 3 of my boy kitties.

Clementine, Sparky & Spot
I am thankful for my fat girl Clemmie, who came to us from a hoarder house, ready to be an only child. 6 years later her unending need for head scratches and dinner make me happy she is my friend. Sparky & Spot, the old ginger brothers who live behind our house and are my daily Gentlemen Callers. They show up in the back windows, pawing at them, meowing when the windows are open, asking for belly rubs (Sparky) and a snack (Spot). They keep my apartment cricket free and love to tease Clemmie and make me feel like I have 2 more cats, even if they belong to the whole block.

The Inspector, Silver, Tiger Lily, Sis, Hemi & Tipper
There are 6 wonderful older felines who allow me to reside with them: The Inspector, Silver (hi-o), Tiger Lily, and Sis are siblings, Hemi & Tipper are half brothers same mom about a year apart. All are born of feral moms. And have been with me since kittenhood over 12 years now. In addition, there has developed a colony of mostly black cats which I feed twice a day and which have a variety of living quarters in and under my out buildings and in my basement. (unsure of the exact number but i have counted 16 at the food dishes at one time). A few of them have names but for the most part they are kitty or kittenth because they are feral and only a few are friendly enough to stay close when I come near.
They help to keep me warm and provide me with unquestionable companionship. They talk to me and keep me broke feeding them but they repay all the food and shelter they get from me with more love than I could ask for. The head bumps, the nuzzles, the purring (even from the ferals that let me pet them) Even the taking over of my office chair(s). Just for the never ceasing love.

Mooglee & Caper
To my 2 beautiful boys who have crossed over- you are loved & missed every day. Caper has been gone since March 7 2011(he was 14) & my beloved kitty soul mate Mooglee(he was 17) left me on Aug. 28th 2010. Mooglee slept with me every night, followed me everywhere and would always come when I called him or snapped my fingers. These poor guys got moved around from apartment to apartment, survived a house fire, then when I was homeless because of the fire I had to board them for 9 months. I was told by several people to get rid of them, people didn't understand you don't get rid of your "kids"! Mooglee was always my boy but when he died Caper realized he could now sleep with me & sit on my lap without being told otherwise by Moogs! Till we meet again my sweet boys, Momma Luvs :)

White Socs, Butterscotch & Bleu Moon
I am mommy to White Socs. White Socs came into our home around Thanksgiving of 2000. He is such a tough lovable cat. He loves Thanksgiving because he gets to have some turkey with gravy and a little mashed potato. We love him so much and am thankful for him. God Bless White Socs. I am also mommy to Butterscotch. Butterscotch came into our home in November of 2003 or 2004. I think he was only somewhere around six months old. He has such beautiful eyes and is so handsome. He gives huggy hugs. We love him so much and are so thankful for him. God Bless Butterscotch. I am also mommy to Bleu Moon. Bleu Moon came into our home a year ago in August. I think he was only somewhere around six months old too when he came to us. Bleu Moon is so loving. He is just an angel. God Bless.

Mille Feuille (Foy), Napoleon Cougar, Zena, Zack & Zoe
Soul Sister Feuille (Foy) was my my very best friend for 22 1/2 years (2009). Cougar was her kitten and enriched our lives for 15 years (2003). Zena and Zack, rescue siblings, were to be my new family because no matter how much I missed Feuille and knowing that she could never be replaced, the wonderful thing about loving cats is that our love is unlimited. Zena died at 9 months while I was still grieving for Feuille. Zoe (another rescue) came to be Zack's house mate. How could I leave him without a companion? I cannot imagine my life without cats. I simply can't.

Mack Palmer
He is a one of a kind. We were driving down a busy two lane highway. This small kitten ran infront of a 16 wheeler. He just made it across the road. We turned around a scoped him up. We took him home to join our cat family of six. We also had a dog and bird. He immediately became an Alpha male. We had to tie him on a leash when the older cats were near as he would pounce on them. They have all passed except for him and the cockatil. He is now all grown up going on thirteen.
We are also thankfull for the cats over forty years that have come and gone under our roof. We miss them greatly

Angel, Princess, Precious, Blackie, Tigger (AKA Tee-Tee) & Baby Boy
After losing my mom in May of 2010, my cats were there for me when I needed them the most. Truly don't know where I'd be today if I didn't have them. They will never know that they have returned the "favor" of saving my life as I did them so many years ago as strays. I never leave the house without telling them I love them and will see them when I get back. Giving them "thanks" is a small thing for all they have done and given me. I LOVE YOU GUYS...A LOT!

Nebula
I give thanks to my cat for just being there for me through the good times and bad. I was unfortunate to be unemployment for a length of time and if it wasn't for my Nebula I don't know how I would have managed to stay postive. And yet again I found myself unemployed and at the same time Nebula was having her own problems. Unemployed or not I got the surgery she needed and she is thriving. Once again she is there during a tough time in in my life. When I start to feel down or depressed, I just has to have her near me and it makes me smile and gives me strength. I am thankful to God for bringing her into my life and for the veterinarian that helped keep her in my life. Even when things look bleak there's always something small and wonderful to be thankful for.

Bartley
Bartley is an 11-year-old kitty with cerebellar hypoplasia, a disorder of the brain that causes him to wobble when he walks. He was found on a rainy night under a car when he was just a few weeks old. Veterinarians at the ASPCA told me to kill him because of his disability but I knew this feisty little guy was going to make it! He recently recovered from acute pancreatitis & I am grateful every day for his determination. Bartley represents all outdoor cats who deserve our protection & love.

I am thankful for all the cats I have been lucky to have known. They have shown me that nothing is hopeless or impossible. That love is unconditional and is paid back tenfold if you care. I am thankful for Mickey Mouse, who came to us 12 years ago at the age of 8 with medical issues, who is now over 20, moving a bit slower but still active. I am also thankful there are others out in the world who care enough to help cats in need.

Maximillion
I want to thank Max for coming into my life. He was a 4 month old stray when I became his momma. He makes me laugh everyday. Flopping himself on the floor. Knowing exactly his breakfast and dinner times like clockwork. I love seeing him react to the birds and squirrels he sees out the window via my nightstand. I enjoy the love and affection he gives me. I am very thankful Max is in my life. I Love you.

Sox, Holly, Lincoln, Jetson & DapperDoe
Our clowder include: Sox, a black and white, we removed from a negligent and violent home; Holly and Lincoln, black siblings, we found in the pouring rain just before Halloween; Jetson, a shy FIV positive black kitty, a stray we pulled in when feral cats wanted to fight him. Dapper, the recently new tux kitten, cried outside my window, so we brought her in when we said no more. We presently are grateful for the ability to feed two ferals who visit daily. We won't stop rescuing but we will find other homes for future strays and kittens. I am grateful to all the rescue shelters who have endlessly helped so many, including one who gave Victor, the mustached warrior with FIV, a permanent home.

Milo
I am thankful for Milo for opening my eyes to the blessing of cat rescue. I found him on a rescue website while looking for my lost cat Lucy. I never found Lucy, however, after a year of seeing poor Milo's photo on the stite I had to give a call. Yes it was true he had been in a no kill shelter for over a year. I had to go see him, and brought him home. He was very senior. He is no longer with us in body, but his spirit lives on. God bless Milo.

I would like to thank all my furbabies for being so special and caring to me. They are my children and I adore them greatly. I would be lost without them. It is so nice to come home to hear a meow and purr as if asking...how was your day, mom? I love them very much and thank them for every day we spend together. Also a big thanks to my beloved cat Tux who was my best friend and I know I will see you again at the Rainbow Bridge. I love my cats and I am very Thankful for them.

Buzz Kitty
Thank you for being our son. Thank you for hanging with me through all of my procrastination-borne all-nighters. Thank you for keeping us company when the other was out of town. Thank you for protecting me from the camelback crickets and telling off the dogs at the dog park. Thank you for watching Star Wars and Pink Floyd with your father. Thank you for dreaming about the birds that taste like fish. Thank you for stealing sandwiches. Thank you for not peeing on the Subaru (except when you had to). Thank you for smacking the faces. Thank you for being a spokesmodel. Thank you for holding court at the airport. Thank you for sharing fish. Thank you for the brief period of time when you wouldn't eat pink food. Thank you for crashing in the hallway with your father. Thank you for being our son.

Spats, Romeo, Blackie, Eva, Elvis, Calico, Tippy Sophie, Grandmother Cat, Cicso, Tiger & Alice
Each cat has a story to tell. Calico was a neighbor's cat that decided to stay here. Spats, Blackie and Sophie were left on my carport as kittens. Elvis was a feral cat that now is tame and rides on the golfcart with me Eva is a sweet cat who loves to rub on my legs and she was a feral Alice and Romeo are feral cats that come close but not too close Tiger was probably dropped off years ago as a kitten and he is tame Cisco is the latest drop off who was afraid at first but now he meows to be petted Grandmother cat was probably the mother of a lot of a lot of cats. I have caught and had neutered and spayed all of the above cats at the Humane Society and returned them to my home where they are fed and will stay as long as I am here. They are all very important to me!

Namaste & Bruno
Namaste found me over 20 years ago and was hanging out under the tarp with my lawn furniture. I started feeding him and on the second day, he came out during the day when I noticed he had a horrible wound on his tail. He let me pick him up and I took him to my vet. Vet said tail was necrotic and it had to come off or cat would die. He is now my wonderful "artificial" manx. Bruno is my big boy Maine coon adopted from Tony LaRusso's ARF last May. I love my big boys.

Earl
Not two hours ago I held Earl as he crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. After a rough life dealing with a feline vaccination-induced cancer and subsequent leg amputation, tossed from foster home to foster home and finally landing in my lap, he only had a few years left before another cancerous and inoperable tumor overtook his lower jaw. Earl was one of the sweetest cats I've ever known (and I've known plenty!) and didn't deserve such a hard life, so we spoiled him every chance we got when we found ourselves in the lucky position of becoming his forever home. Today we say goodbye to Earl, but give thanks for truly enriching our lives for the 5 years he shared with us. I ache today for my own loss, but will be eternally grateful I was able to know and love Earl. RIP, my sweet angel. XO

Kittykat
Thankful for Kittykat who - back in 2005 was, sight unseen, dropped off at my home on her way to being driven to the Humane Society - has slowly come around from her scaredy-cat world view - quietly follows me around the house until she gets me where she wants me - sitting or lying down - where upon she climbs on top and snuggles down - I hope someday will trust me enough to let me trim her nails.
Still.... so thankful to have you in my life, Kitty!

Aqua & Rainey
Aqua and Rainey and their 3 siblings were born to a true feral mom in a colony managed by a spay/neuter/rescue group I volunteer with in the Atlanta area. They were rescued from a storm drain during a very heavy rainstorm on a cold January day when they were 4 weeks old. I began fostering the litter a week later and worked diligently with them to socialize them for adoption. The 3 other siblings, Lake, Puddles, and Stormy, were adopted, and I ended up adopting Aqua and Rainey myself, as they were very bonded and I didn't want them separated. They are almost 3 years old now, and so very sweet! I have 4 other older kitties, all rescues, and I'm thankful for them all!

Moonlight & Misty
Cats are great to have as pets because they do not take guff from their owner. They do what they want, and do cute things to try to get you to do what they want. Things like rubbing up against you and purring in your ear to get you out of bed. The biggest thing is that petting them often helps keep your blood pressure down. All four of my "children" have been the biggest part of my life and have been easier to take care of than a dog. I love those who are with me now and those that went before. And the greatest thing: They love me!!!!

Bella & Finnegan
Finnegan ended up outside in the bushes 1 day. I fed him (he was 6 mos. old), one day some kids were walking home from school and they asked (my husband) if they could have him and he said yes. He didn't get their name or phone # or any info. I was hysterical. The next day they returned with the cat and my husband was so happy. I brought him in the house and he is now 6. I am thankful that he was returned. After all, he was MY cat, he rescued me. Bella I got from my Godmother a rescuer, 1 of her cats went through a screen before she could be spayed, came back pregnant. I was able to place all the kittens (since it was going so well my husband said if there are any left you can take one) and he's not a cat person! I had my eye on Bella since she was born. Mia Bella. Very thankful!

Smokey & Kimmie
We are grateful for our two kitties, Smokey and Kimmie, along with 9 semi-ferals that we have had spayed and neutered and, with friends, feed and water them daily! They have shelters for the rain and cold and are pretty happy and beautiful cats!
We thank everyone connected to TNR programs around the country! In spite of those who would love to rid the cats of TNR, we think it is a wonderful way to cut way back on the cat overpopulation crisis in this country! It truly is working, and the cats live with their families and are doing really well! Pray that other countries will follow suit!

Angel, Kobe, Domino, Rudy, Jax, Bluebell & Frenchie
I am thankful for all my wonderful cats, Angel, Kobe, Domino, Rudy, Jax, and Bluebell.
Right now, I would like to say thanks for Frenchie, though. He was a special cat who had three legs, he was bit by a racoon when he lived outside my apartment as a feral. He came inside to live after he lost his leg and lived with us for about 8 years, such a sweet little boy. This past monday, Frenchie passed away. I miss him terribly but want to say thanks for the time i had with him. He touched my heart in a very special way.

Methos
Methos found me when I was attending college back in 2003...his name was Alex at the time. His picture was up on the bulletin board outside the registrars office, with a message that he was looking for a good forever home. I had been thinking of getting a cat for the past year, and when I saw that 5-month-old cutie in his tuxedo, I knew the time had come. He was being kept at the school, with the vet teacher, as he was being treated for ear mites. I picked him up the very next day, and got some medication to take care of those ear mites. 9 years later, it's still the best decision I ever made. I love him so much! Also, he's staring at me as I type this...I think he knows I'm talking about him!

Chip
I am so thankful for the joy that Chip has brought me. He was a 7 month old non-purebred Maine Coon whom was found in San Francisco and taken to Animal Care & Control. I saw him when I worked there on Election Day in November 2006 as it was a polling place. There were already fall kittens there so as a spring kitten his chances of adoption were already reduced. He's wonderful!

Snuggles
I am thankful for my Snuggles girl. When my heart was breaking from the loss of my tuxedo kitty Shadow, she came into my life. She has made me laugh, stays with me when I sick. She has warned us when strangers are about the house by staring at the back door (that is the door everyone comes to). She has even warned us when there was a strong odor of smoke in the house and thank God it was just the outside air that the heatpump was pulling. I thank God for the day that I picked a hissing, spitting little five week old kitten from my neighbor's flower bed. At that moment the heartache began to heal. That was eight years ago and I hope to have my Miss Snugs for a long, long time.

Geordi, Tuvoc & Peaches
Two of these cats are brothers from a couple cats my friend has who had a litter unexpectedly and the other is a cat we took in when a friend moved away. We love them all dearly, each with their own unique personality and quirks. They are the sweetest cats; we'll have friends stay the night and they will take turns sitting on their lap or sleeping on them all night. People comment our cats are some of the friendliest they have met. They are most often in our lap and there for us to pet when we are having a bad day. Life is so much better with our feline trio.

Jules, Mikey, Smokey & Felix
To all my Cats, past, present and future... Felix, you were my first exp with cats and was at my buddies house often because of you (even though you didn't belong to me) You inspired me to have one of my very own; which led to Smokey and a gift, fed you milk as a kitten and watched you grow into a feisty, playful and lovable character until the day you left us for good; then much later we inherited Mikey a Siamese full of good conversation and loved pens/pencils to play with (even if they were in my pocket!); until the culmination of all craziness, peaceful bliss, love, laughter, quirkiness, playfulness, astute inquisitiveness and good conversationalist wrapped in a fuzzy coat that is Jules whom I've had for eleven years now who without, would not have changed my life for the better. Thank you all.

Mammy Salamie
Mammy is my 12 year old baby who has been my house cat since she's 5 months old. We live in New York which was recently affected by Hurricane Sandy. For the first time ever- somehow Mammy got out of our house and went missing for 2 days. Through my family's rescue efforts and some very awesome and helpful neighbors, Mammy was found unharmed and she is back home where she belongs. We are so very thankful to those that helped us get her back, and thankful she is with us once again.

Gus
Gus picked me from across a crowded store. I didn't need another cat but he stared at me until I came over and then grabbed my hand and pulled it in toward his heart. He's owned that heart since. Because of him, I started volunteering for the rescue group that had saved him. Worked with the founders saving cats, both indoors and out and even helped guide the newly formed cat committee in Syracuse, NY to a safe and humane solution for cats. Ultimately, in honor of Gus, his saviors, and all the animals who need saving, I decided to move to saving animals full-time. I still look into those beautiful golden eyes and thank him and the powers that sent him to me every day.

This year, I'm thankful for our one-year-old rescue, Boo! He's my older daughter's "best friend" according to her, my baby's seat warmer, the other male in the family for my husband, my cuddle bud, and just an awesome part of the family chaos. He makes us laugh, he makes our older cat cry, he insists on goofiness, he demonstrates kindliness. We wouldn't trade him for anything in the world.

Mochi
Mochi always greets me with a meow when I come home, goes crazy for a laser pointer, loves being petted and eagerly responds when I call out "treats"! I am very thankful that I have him in my life, and especially thankful he tolerates me putting cat ties on him. (He gets extra treats after!)
