Saving Lives to the Max with Unique Surgery

Maximus (AKA Maximus Decimus Merkitteus) is full of life and love, and has never met a stranger.

But at not even a year old, Maximus’s future was called into question when he was diagnosed with a portosystemic liver shunt—a life-threatening liver defect.

Thanks to our supporters like you, Alley Cat Allies covered the cost of liver shunt surgery for Maximus (and we’ve done the same for multiple other cats!). Now, this young, playful Maine Coon has a bright future ahead doing all the things he enjoys most: riding on shoulders, rolling in blanket forts, and playing with his jingle ball cat toys!

From the Ashes: Saving Fire Cats Mona and Rubble

Mona and Rubble have come a long way since an Alley Cat Allies Rapid Response Team rescued them from the historic Smokehouse Creek Fire in Texas. After treatment for smoke inhalation, experienced foster care, and lots of love, they took that big next step to live the long, happy, relaxed lives they deserve.

That’s right—both have been adopted!

A Beauty in Need Receives Access to Care

Alley Cat Allies works to widen access to veterinary services for indoor and outdoor cats in communities worldwide. Our action with supporters like you means cats like Bella receive swift and vital care.

Bella, who was discovered by an advocate of our Feral Friends Network® in Kansas, was suffering from a host of medical issues that needed immediate treatment. We covered the costs of her diagnosis and medication, and we continue to keep an eye on her progress. She’s just one of many cats directly impacted by your generosity!
