Stop by to learn all about caring for community cats in celebration of Global Cat Day! We will have tables with resources in the front and back of our building, as well as brand new workshops inside our conference room.

TNR 101, 11-11:45am
Conference room.
Learn the steps of humane trapping and pre- and post-spay/neuter surgery care.
Learn the basics of caring for a cat colony
Learn how to build good relationships with neighbors throughout the TNR process and how to help the cats be good neighbors.
Attendees will receive a certificate of class completion.

Talking to city council, 12:30-1:15pm
Conference room.
Take the fear out of approaching city council. Learn how to effectively advocate for cats.

Shelter Making, 12:30-1:15pm
Located in our warehouse.
Learn how to make shelters for outdoor cats. We will be using re-purposed Styrofoam coolers for this class.

Working Cats, 2-2:45pm
Conference room.
Working Cats, or sometimes referred to as barn cats is an innovative program to save the lives of cats. Learn what Best Friends is doing to save the lives of cats who can’t be placed into traditional adoption programs.
