“Wobbly Kitten” Celeste Beat the Odds

Celeste, who’s just over 8 weeks old, was rescued when she was dehydrated and massively underweight. Though she had so much working against her, she’s a fighter—and has made an incredible recovery under expert veterinary treatment. Alley Cat Allies is covering the costs of her care, and she’s gaining healthy weight—and so much personality—every day. We’re glad to say she’s a happy, playful kitten despite it all.
And Celeste has another unique side to her: she’s a “wobbly kitten!” This is the nickname for kittens with Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), a developmental condition affecting the cerebellum. Since the cerebellum controls movement coordination, kittens with this condition have difficulty walking straight and balancing.
But CH is painless, and Celeste has a long, full life ahead of her to live! We’re proud to provide her with continuing care to ensure she thrives, and we hope you are, too.
A Heartwarming Update After Our Latest Feline Frenzy®
Even almost a month after our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) event in Canton, Ohio (where we helped 205 cats in a single day!), we’re getting heartwarming updates on cats whose lives we changed. We want to share them with you, since YOUR support made it all possible!
Bringing Nuzzie to the veterinary clinic for his surgery was no difficult task. In fact, he practically walked right in! With how socialized the gregarious kitten was, we figured quickly that he may have been abandoned. So, once he was neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, he was fostered until he could find a forever home of his own.
Now, we’re glad to say he’s finally found it! We wish Nuzzie all the best on his new journey, and we’re so happy we got to be part of it.
Casablanca Kitten Soleil Finds Her Forever Home
Earlier this year, the Alley Cat Allies team was on the ground in Morocco to learn about the many cats who call the country’s major cities home, and strategize action to protect them. In the time we were there, we came across Soleil—and saved her life.

Shay the Rooftop Kitten is Happy as Can Be in Her New Home
If you’ve been following us, you might be familiar with Shay’s story. When a police station called Alley Cat Allies about kittens stuck on their rooftop, including Shay, we acted fast with first responders to save their lives.
Their firefighter rescuer, Mike, knew immediately that he wanted to adopt one of the kittens—and so Shay found her family! It was truly a picture-perfect ending, and Shay has since made herself right at home. We’re so happy to see that she’s thriving and loved.
