Twinkle and Sparkle Can Still Shine Thanks to You

If we hadn’t acted fast, these two brothers may not have survived to see the new year. Alley Cat Allies facilitated Sparkle and Twinkle’s rescue from a shelter where they were at high risk of being killed.

The two 8-week-olds had spent days in a cage, suffering from pneumonia and severe upper respiratory infections. But because of our supporters like you, we could rush them to emergency veterinary care and start the healing process.

Sparkle and Twinkle have already come so far in just a couple of short weeks! Bright as their namesakes, they’re running, playing, and snuggling together as every kitten deserves. Once they’ve fully recuperated, we’ll make sure both are neutered and find them forever homes of their own. Hopefully, they’ll find a new family together!

Marble Isn’t So Tiny Anymore

Look how much Marble has grown! It’s almost hard to believe she’s the same tiny kitten who was nearly killed in a shelter at less than a month old.

Alley Cat Allies helped facilitate Marble’s rescue, and our strong network of veterinary allies ensured she received critical care every step of her growth.

Today she’s a healthy, happy young cat in a loving new forever home…and she just got spayed! We wish Marble many, many happy years ahead. And, we’re committed to improving community policies and access to care across the country to save countless more cats like her.

26 Years of the Boardwalk Cats Project®

2026 marks an incredible 26 years of this groundbreaking, world-famous Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program in Atlantic County, New Jersey. Since 2000, Alley Cat Allies has cared for and protected the community cats who call the famous boardwalk home.

Our action those decades ago not only saved an entire colony from being killed—it created the blueprint for communities around the world to follow. And, it has proven that TNR is truly effective and beneficial for cats and the community in which they live.

The Boardwalk Cats are something of celebrities, beloved by locals and tourists alike! Many of them have lived well into their teen years and continue to thrive in their outdoor home with regular care from Alley Cat Allies team members.

More States Considering Declawing Bans in 2026

Get ready to protect even more cats from declawing in the New Year! We have our eyes on three declaw ban bills under consideration in Michigan, Indiana, and Puerto Rico.

Alley Cat Allies will provide our expert testimony in support of both bills when the time comes, and we’ll keep you updated on how you can take action with us.

Declawing cats is a cruel, archaic procedure that can cause long-term physical and mental harm to cats. Together, we’ll keep up the fight to Keep Cats’ Claws On Their Paws until declawing is a thing of the past. Share the truth about the harms of cat declawing.
