Profile in Generosity—Karl Gerds

Honoring the incredible donors who make our mission possible

Alley Cat Allies has a compassionate, vibrant community—and many of our supporters have been with us for decades! Karl Gerds has been one of those most dedicated allies since 1999. Karl is also one of our incredible monthly donors, setting the foundation of our work with his unmatched compassion for cats.

Recently Karl and his wife, Beth, named Alley Cat Allies as a recipient in their wills to benefit cats far into the future.

“Alley Cat Allies is one of the first organizations ever to advocate on behalf of community cats,” said Karl. “Your outreach opened up a whole new perspective on the benefits of TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return), and now more and more animal organizations are implementing it and making a difference.”

Karl and Beth, YOU are the reason we can make that difference! Thank you for sharing your legacy and your story with us. Karl and Beth met as undergrads at Boston University and now are semi-retired together with their rescue cat, Wally, who they say is very spoiled! Wally is named affectionately after the Boston Red Sox mascot, Wally the Green Monster.

YOU can also build a better world for cats with a donation at www.alleycat.org/Donate. Or, consider a planned gift at alleycat.org/PlannedGiving (CFC#10964) (EIN #52-1742079).
