Community Cat Policies: TNR: Santa Fe City & County residents can bring trapped cats to be spayed or neutered before 10 a.m. to the Spay/Neuter & Wellness clinic on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays only. Animals must arrive inside a secure trap that is covered with a sheet or towel. They will be spayed or neutered, ear tipped, vaccinated, and treated with flea prevention. They will not be provided with a microchip and they must be picked up by 4 p.m. the same day unless otherwise instructed. Traps are available through Animal Control at 505.955.2708 or through the Shelter’s Animal Resource Center at 505.983.4309 ext. 1606.

Other Info: The Spay/Neuter & Wellness Clinic offers a low-cost spay/neuter program to help ensure fewer unwanted puppies and kittens and to help the overall health of the animals. There are also a limited number of free spay/neuter surgeries available for qualified families.
