Pet Food Banks: “Pet Food Pantry (Pet Soup), operates with the purpose of providing emergency pet food resources to families in need in the Midlands region. Their primary goal is to reduce pet overpopulation in the Midlands area and ensure that pet owners have access to spay and neuter services. They offer discounted spay/neuter appointments to their Pet Soup clients residing in Lexington and Richland Counties.

To qualify for assistance from Pet Soup, all applicants must be pre-approved. Additionally, applicants must meet specific criteria, which will be provided upon contacting them for assistance. This organization plays a crucial role in helping families and pets in need within the Midlands area.”

Services Offered: The organization offers a range of services, including adoption services, medical care, spay/neuter clinics, wellness clinics, mobile vaccine clinics, on-site vaccine clinics, and a prescription auto-refill program.

Community Cat Policies: All feral cats must come to the clinic in a secure, live-release trap. No exceptions. This is for the well-being of the cats and the safety of our staff. Please totally cover the trap with a towel or sheet upon capture and keep the trap covered until drop-off for surgery. Please do not put bedding or toys inside the trap.Any cat that arrives in a live-release trap will not receive a physical exam to determine fitness for anesthesia prior to receiving anesthesia.
