Pet Food Banks: Humane Society of the Black Hills: The Humane Society of the Black Hills, located in Rapid City, may offer pet food assistance programs to pet owners in need. If you are having trouble affording food for your animal, the Humane Society of the Black Hills may be able to help with food assistance. Depending on availability of food resources at the humane society, cat and dog food may be available for the food assistance program. Pain management is a high priority for us, so every animal will go home with a pain management routine at no additional cost. Rabies vaccinations will also be given for an additional $10.00 to animals that are not up to date as they are a state requirement. Rabies vaccinations will also be given to all feral animals in our care.
