Services Offered: The Oconee Humane Society, in partnership with local veterinarians, offers an affordable way for every Oconee County resident to be able to spay/neuter their pets and help end pet overpopulation. Low-cost spay/neuter vouchers can be purchased at the Oconee Humane Society Adoption Center, 1925 Sandifer Blvd. From there, it is as simple as making an appointment at one of the participating veterinarians and then bringing the voucher to the appointment. The voucher covers the cost for routine surgery only. Extra charges for complications (pregnancy, in heat, retained testicles) are the pet owner’s responsibility. There are NO income requirements for this program, however, it is limited to Oconee County residents only.

Community Cat Policies: This partnership is called the Spay/Neuter Assistance Coalition (SNAC) program. The program is designed to provide low-household-income Oconee County residents, up to 200% over poverty, an affordable option to have their pets spayed/neutered.

County: Oconee
