Mendocino County Health & Human Services-Animal Care Services-UKiah Shelter

Services Offered: spay/neuter only

Community Cat Policies: only accept feral felines in traps and only one cat per trap. We offer free spay and neuter for feral cats IF you will return the cat to the location it has been living at.

Other Info: Due to numerous variables, the Clinic and CAV at this time are not in a position to accept any more spay & neuter applications, nor set any future surgery appointments for animal owners needing a spay or neuter surgery for their pet animals. This does NOT mean operations have stopped at either location. However, wait lists are currently at an excess of 4-5 months wait time and they can not keep up with the volume of people wanting to schedule services. They cannot add any more people to the wait list at this time, as the list quickly becomes unmanageable and they cannot guarantee that people will receive a call back. Please keep an eye on their website for futher information on when spay/neuter surgery scheduling will begin again. Please visit them online for more informatin on Feral Cat Spay/neuter and more.
