Pet Food Banks Information: Food pick up is available at HSTT’s Pet Pantry everyday from 8AM until close (please call ahead after 5pm, as their hours sometimes change due to staffing shortages). Two bear boxes are located outside of their shelter with food and supplies to pickup, when available. The Truckee Animal Shelter is located at 10961 Stevens Lane in Truckee. Must sign-up on their website.

Other Info: Only owned pets qualify for community spay/neuter services. Participants must reside in Truckee, Eastern El Dorado County, Eastern Nevada County, Eastern Placer County, Incline Village, Sierra County, or South Lake Tahoe from Glenbrook to Meyers. Spay/neuter $40. FREEmirochipping services available for Truckee residents. Gross household income must be at or below median income level of your household size for your county of residence. **Feral and Community Cat Caretakers may alter cats under their care FREE of charge through their TNR Program. Must fillout online application. Must have an appointment before trapping cats. Participants that receive a FREE voucher are responsible for making appointment arrangements in accordance with the Veterinary Hospital accepting TNR patients.
