Pet Food Banks: HSRC offers a program called “pet pantry” for pet owners who find themselves in a financial tight spot. Citizens are Raleigh County can come up to the shelter and pick up for food their pets. This service can be used up to 4 times per calendar year. We have wet and dry food available. Our goal is to keep more pets in their homes, and make sure owners aren`t forced to give up their beloved pet just because they`ve hit a rough patch. The Pet Pantry is stocked by donations from the community. Services Offered: Spay & Neuter Vouchers
HSRC offers spay and neuter vouchers for low-income citizens of Raleigh County. This is the most effective way to combat pet overpopulation.
These vouchers offer 30% off the procedure and can be used with a select network of vets. To get a spay/neuter voucher, please come to HSRC and fill out a form. Participating veterinarians are:
