Community Cat Policies: HSCC can assist those wanting to care for feral cat colonies or barn cats in Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties by providing live-traps, assistance, and spay/neuter services free of charge. To schedule a free TNR appointment, please call our Community Pet Clinic scheduling line at (802) 923-9028. Please note that TNR appointments are for feral cats who are returning to their original location with a dedicated caretaker.

Other Info: Cats should be at least 3 months old and weigh at least 3 lbs for spay/neuter surgery. Please note that cats over 7 years old require a presurgical exam and bloodwork. If your cat requires a presurgical exam, please make an appointment for a wellness exam at our Wellness Clinic. Spay the Mom Program-free spay for mom (returned to you) when you surrender the kittens to HSCC for adoption. Good Neighbor Program- vaccines, spay/neuter, meals at no cost to owner. Kira’s Fund-Spay/neuter assistance. Rainy Day Fund-financial assistance for emergency medical treatment.
