Pet Food Banks: The C.A.R.E. Pet Food Bank is in place to assist low-income pet-owners or those experiencing hardship within Garfield County. Food is available at the shelter (as available). If you are in need of pet food assistance, please call 970-947-9173 to make arrangements.

Services Offered: Spay/neuter vouchers pet food bank

Community Cat Policies: C.A.R.E. can accept feral cats in traps (*with previously scheduled appointments) on Saturdays and Sundays. Please do not attempt to trap a feral cat outside of those days, as the shelter is unable to safely and humanely house feral cats for longer periods of time. Trap rentals $75 deposit.

Other Info: C.A.R.E. offers $50 vouchers toward the cost of any spay/neuter. To be eligible for a voucher, you must be a resident of Garfield County and have an appointment scheduled with your local veterinarian (also within Garfield County).
