Pet Food Banks: Chow Wagon Pet Food Bank supports families and their pets by providing free pet food on a monthly basis. This service prioritizes Allegheny County residents in an effort to promote pet retention and reduce surrenders. It is intended to supplement the pet’s monthly food needs to ease the financial cost associated with pet care. We are currently not accepting applications for new clients as we review applications for 2024. Please check back in the New Year for information about emergency pet food support.

Community Cat Policies: Humane box traps can be rented from their Clinic Services team for a refundable $65 deposit – once the trap is returned, they will gladly refund your deposit. Trap rentals are by appointment only and are reserved for clients who are scheduling a spay/neuter procedure through Animal Friends’ low-cost spay/neuter clinic. Traps must be returned in full working order. Call 412.847.7004 for more information or to set up your trap rental.

Other Info: Spay/neuter appointments are available for owned and community cats. A $50 deposit will be required to schedule an appointment for an owned animal (you will be prompted to pay after entering your information in the online scheduling form). Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance in order to receive the deposit back. Spay/neuter $80
