It’s here! Happy Global Cat Day and National Feral Cat Day!

Today, people the world over are joining us as we say loud and clear:

Let’s spread the word that anyone and everyone can be an advocate for cats, and join us in our mission to protect cats and kittens everywhere they live. If you don’t believe in killing cats, you’re already an advocate!

Alley Cat Allies is Holding a Trap-Neuter-Return Clinic for Nearly 200 Cats

Almost 200 community cats, one day of an incredible TNR clinic? Sign us up! In fact, we’re on the ground doing it right now in honor of Global Cat Day and National Feral Cat Day.

Alley Cat Allies returned to Canton, Ohio, to hold this high-quality, high-volume spay and neuter clinic in collaboration with AlterClinic Animal Care. Each cat will also receive vaccination, an eartip, a microchip, and any other medical care they may need, and each participating community cat caregiver will receive a case of wet cat food. Even better: We’re taking care of all costs, so it’s free for the community!

Surgeries are underway right now, and it’s all thanks to our supporters like you! We’re proud to be helping cats like Kiwi and Dela and the people who care for them and who rely on these no-cost services.

Cats Are Community in Spain

In Spain, caring for community cats isn’t just the work of a few dedicated advocates – it’s national law!

From the charming cobblestone streets of Córdoba to the bustling plazas of Madrid, and beyond, cats are truly community in Spain! A 2023 law made TNR official national policy, and the killing of community cats was deemed unacceptable years before.

Alley Cat Allies took to the ground in key cities in Spain to connect with local advocates, provide expertise and guidance, and meet the cats who are thriving in their outdoor homes. In this video, we introduce you to Lulo—a community cat who lives carefree days in a Córdoba plaza, and even models for tourists taking photos!

We are highlighting the work of communities in Spain on Global Cat Day and National Feral Cat Day to show the world how every community can protect cats and kittens.

Cats Are Community in Northeast Ohio

In Northeast Ohio, Alley Cat Allies is supporting strong local TNR and anti-cruelty work to protect cats like community!

Dedicated advocates and organizations in Northeast Ohio, including the Cleveland area, are working tirelessly every day to protect community cats. But great need remains for low-cost resources that are accessible to caregivers.

Alley Cat Allies is working on the ground to support local TNR programs, all for the good of community cats like Zack (who you’ll meet in this video!). And, to create more comprehensive change, we are providing expert prosecution support to seek justice for cat victims of cruelty.

On Global Cat Day and National Feral Cat Day and every day, join us to advocate and take action to protect cats in every community, wherever they call home. A good start is to share this video!
