Hold a Community Cat Food Bank in Granite Shoals, Texas
On December 22, our team was on the ground to hand out no-cost cat food that will benefit more than 250 community cats! The gratitude from Granite Shoals caregivers was heartwarming and inspiring in equal measure. This is a time of year when critical resources for cats mean the most, and we were proud to provide.
Save Kittens from Being Killed in a Shelter
Just before Christmas Eve, we helped rescue two tuxedo kittens from a shelter, where they were at risk of being killed at just 8 weeks old. Now they’re finally receiving the veterinary care they so greatly need, and have a life of love and safety ahead of them.
Both kittens have upper respiratory infections, and one may also have pneumonia. But we’re cleaning their eyes and providing the treatment they need to recover, and it’s all because of our supporters like you!
Stop Dangerous Ordinances Against Cats in Their Tracks
When the Village of Creston, Ohio, considered both a feeding ban and leash law against community cats, which would put a target on the backs of cats and their caregivers, Alley Cat Allies took swift action. We provided our expertise to the village and promised we wouldn’t stand by while cats’ lives were on the line. Then, we rallied advocates throughout Ohio to raise their voices with us. Together, we made the difference. At its meeting on December 22, Creston decided not to move forward with the ordinances. This is a major victory for cats throughout the village!
