Cats Have a Positive Impact on Mental Health

On World Mental Health Day, we want to emphasize that spending time with cats, including caring for community cats, has a marked and studied positive impact on our mental health! Cats are also increasingly recognized as therapy animals.

In turn, we can take steps to improve our cats’ mental health! We have enrichment tips here.

ADOPTED! Congratulations Clover and Charm

After a long road to recovery, from extremely ill to healthy and happy, Clover and Charm have found a home to call their own–together!

We can’t thank our supporters enough for making their veterinary and foster care possible every step of the way. Now Clover and Charm have two new siblings to grow up with!

ADOPTED! Little Grey on a Big New Journey

Pennsylvania kitten Little Grey now has his own forever home, and we’re so glad to say we helped him get there! Alley Cat Allies covered the costs of Grey’s veterinary care and neuter, and he’s ready for his exciting new chapter.

Congrats, Grey, and many happy years!

How to Live With Cats in Your Neighborhood

Cats Are Community, and we should respect and defend them like community–whether they live with us indoors or are our neighbors outdoors!

That’s why it’s so important for a community to come together to make change that benefits both cats and people. Peaceful coexistence is a win-win for all!

Our How to Live With Cats in Your Neighborhood guide is here to help.

Every Act and Every Voice Can Change the World

Two things are certain:

1. Every cat’s life, and every animal’s life, has inherent value and cruelty against them is never justified.

2. Everyone can make a difference. Every act and every voice matters.

If we always keep these two things in mind, we can change the world for the better for cats, all animals, and us all. Today, we thank the incredible advocates across the globe who work tirelessly to make that better world a reality. Alley Cat Allies is proud to be among them.
