Workshop Info:

Alice Burton, Alley Cat Allies’ associate director of animal shelter and animal control engagement, will explain how to successfully complete Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) for community cats. The workshop will also be an opportunity for community cat caregivers to network with each other.

Outdoor cats can be found in all corners of Atlantic County. Each day, residents who are looking for a way to help cats call their local shelters and rescues. This workshop will empower them by providing the tools they need to help cats continue to thrive in their outdoor home.

TNR is the process in which cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, eartipped (to indicate they have been neutered and vaccinated), and returned to their outdoor home. TNR effectively and humanely manages the community cat population, reduces shelter intake and euthanasia numbers, decreases calls to animal control, and saves taxpayer money.
