| 6 2025 Impact Report Rallying Compassionate Advocates to Speak Out We brought advocates together on the ground to rally for the strongest possible punishment in cases of cruelty to cats. And, through our Action Alerts, tens of thousands of calls for the humane treatment of cats went out to lawmakers and officials across the United States in 2025. Every day, Alley Cat Allies’ supporter base is growing—as is the power of our movement to protect cats and kittens. As of 2025, we are 1.7+ million supporters strong! ADVOCACY Educating Communities to Fight Cruelty Alley Cat Allies is committed to protecting cats from cruelty and ensuring cruelty cases are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This year, our expert team trained over 480 law enforcement professionals across the country to investigate and successfully prosecute animal cruelty cases. The majority of law enforcement in the U.S. lack training or specialized knowledge to effectively handle animal cruelty cases. Alley Cat Allies’ expert team is working to change that. To further urge justices in the wake of cruelty cases, our team sent letters to communities across the United States calling for thorough investigation and vigorous prosecution to the fullest extent of the law. We made our voice, and yours, heard: All animal cruelty must be treated with the gravity fitting of the horrific crime. PEA, a community cat in Lebanon, Tennessee. IMPACT STORY: Elmo Alley Cat Allies is taking action to protect and seek justice for 22 cats and kittens who were the victims of cruelty and neglect in Mahoning County, Ohio. Elmo and Callie were among the cats rescued from inhumane conditions in a filthy home and treated for flea infestation, dermatitis, infection, and open sores. Alley Cat Allies helped to cover the costs of veterinary care for all 22 cats. We are supporting the investigation of this case and will provide expert prosecution support. IMPACT STORY: Mouch Alley Cat Allies is calling for the strongest possible penalty in the case of a cat breeder who is alleged to have severely neglected 77 cats, confining them in horrific conditions. The suspect, Trixxe McCowin, fled from animal cruelty charges related to the 2022 incident but has now been caught. Our expert team is providing support in the prosecution of the case to seek justice for the affected cats, like Mouch. He is now safe after receiving emergency veterinary care.
