How to save & take care of a kitten and feral cats - an advocacy tool kit

Virginia Federation of Humane Societies (VFHS) 2019 Annual Conference

Details

Alley Cat Allies is a Diamond Sponsor of the VFHS 2019 Annual Conference in March. Join President and Founder Becky Robinson and associate director of Animal Shelter & Animal Control Engagement Alice Burton as they share their expertise and experience in saving cats’ lives. The conference is a chance for animal welfare professionals and compassionate advocates in Virginia to come together, learn from each other, and work toward vital humane change for animals.

On March 28, the first day of the event, Alice Burton will speak about the best ways to transform a shelter to protect more cats. A former animal control officer, she taps into personal experience to guide shelter staff, volunteers, and citizen advocates toward creating lifesaving humane change.

Becky Robinson will be the keynote speaker at the conference. Join her on March 29 as she talks about the facts of Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), explains TNR’s overwhelmingly positive impact in Virginia shelters, and empowers everyone to work toward community change on a local level to ensure all cats are safe. At the session, we will have toolkits with information to help you run your own cat advocacy campaign, change your local laws, and encourage your shelter to adopt humane policies for cats.

Alley Cat Allies will also host a reception on the evening of March 28 to give conference attendees a chance to connect and mingle.

Register today to attend the conference.
