Maryland Residents: Support Spay and Neuter Funding!

This action is ONLY for constituents of Maryland state senators on the Education, Health & Environmental Affairs Committee.

Update: April 27, 2021

Thank you for taking action on this bill. Although it made significant progress, the Maryland legislature adjourned before the bill could become law. Stay tuned for it being reintroduced next year!

Original Message:

Your Maryland Senate Education, Health & Environmental Affairs Committee is considering MD HB 146, a bill to renew the successful Maryland Spay and Neuter Grants Program that has funded more than 60,000 low-cost surgeries for cats and dogs since 2014.

Your action is critical: The program is currently set to expire in 2022. HB 146 would extend the spay and neuter fund through 2032 and raise additional funding so more cats can be spayed or neutered, improving their lives and the community.

Please take a few minutes right now to ask your state senator to vote YES on HB 146.
