Biography| Alley Cat Allies

Alice-webAlice brings a wealth of experience and insight to her work helping animal control agencies and shelters customize effective TNR programs.

She worked for 14 years for the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, VA, 11 of those as Chief of Animal Control. In 2014, she received The Virginia Animal Control Association’s Public Service Award, and was twice nominated as Animal Control Officer of the year by the Metropolitan Council of Governments. She also received a recognition of appreciation from the Arlington County Public Schools for her work in humane education.

A member of the National Animal Control and Virginia Animal Control Associations, Alice sits on the boards of The Virginia Federation of Humane Societies and Caring Hands Animal Support and Education. In 2017, she was elected to the National Animal Care & Control board of directors.

When she’s not converting old family recipes into vegan meals, Alice loves taking TNR trips and spending time with her two adopted cats, Captain Bobby and Misha, and her turtle, Edgar the Wonder Turtle.
