We’re offering a total reward of $5,000 to the person or persons who provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for killing three beloved cats from our Boardwalk Cats Project® in Atlantic City, NJ.

On March 22, at Vermont Avenue and the boardwalk, three of the Boardwalk Cats were found killed. The Atlantic City Police Department has posted surveillance photos on its Facebook page of three men who officers are trying to identify in connection with the investigation.

Please speak up if you have information about this case. Contact the Atlantic City Police Department by calling (609) 347-5766. Or, text anonymously to tip411 (847-411) and begin your text with ACPD.

We are devastated about the loss of these cats, and we’re doing everything we can to find out who is behind this cruelty. The Boardwalk Cats are important not only to us, but the entire Atlantic City communityincluding residents, tourists, and leaders.

We’ve cared for the community cat colonies on the Atlantic City Boardwalk since 2000, as part of a city-supported Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program. Through the TNR program, every Boardwalk Cat has been humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and eartipped.

We’re grateful to the Atlantic City Police Department and Chief Henry White for making this case a high priority. This is important, since there is a proven connection between violence toward animals and violence toward people.

“Animal cruelty must be taken seriously, and the guilty parties should be punished to the full extent of the law,” said Becky Robinson, president and founder of Alley Cat Allies.

If you have any information, please help us make sure the Boardwalk Cats’ killers are caught.
