In a new Huffington Post blog post, Alley Cat Allies President Becky Robinson talks about how many Americans love and care for catsand how many communities have changed their approach to cats to better align with community values. Animal control agencies across the country are dropping the old method of catching and killing feral cats, and instead supporting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). In addition to being humane, TNR is the only method that effectively addresses feral cat populations.

Within just the past decade, the number of municipalities with ordinances supporting TNR has increased tenfold. And as a result, other communities want to learn how they can implement this humane program. That’s why Alley Cat Allies is hosting our National Conference: Architects of Change for Cats next week, Nov. 8 10, in Arlington, Va.
