Evie—Burrowing
Margaret and her husband adopted Evie eight years ago from their local humane society in Wisconsin. Evie was tiny and scared at first but, with some TLC, she blossomed into the loving and trusting cat she is today. Smart, gentle, and well-behaved, Evie is the uncontested queen of Margaret’s household.
Tofu—Burrowing
Tofu lives a carefree life with Lisa, his kitty brother and sister Oliver and Lulu, and his bunny brothers Thumper and Maximillian. When Tofu isn’t rolling around in the litter box or cuddling with Lisa, he’s racing around Lisa’s backyard. He gets especially excited when he’s out past his “curfew.”
Anna Livia Plurabelle—Grooming
Considering Anna Livia Plurabelle’s favorite way to show affection is through licking, this photo is the perfect representation of her! Adopted almost 7 years ago, she is named after a character in James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake. Freya says Anna Livia chirps and squeaks more than she meows and doesn’t get along too well with her brother, Humphrey.
Misu—Grooming
Community cat Misu enjoys a good grooming session in his outdoor home along the Atlantic City Boardwalk in New Jersey. Misu is one of the cats Alley Cat Allies cares for and defends through our Atlantic City Boardwalk Cats Project®. Friendly, young, and utterly adorable, Misu is beloved by locals and tourists alike.
Bare—Scratching
Named Bare Bottom because she has no tail, Bare would be a Southern Belle if she could talk according to owner Melissa. That’s because this charming tuxedo lady is originally from Mississippi, though she’s well-traveled and has lived in multiple states! Bare loves to play fetch and adores attention. And, as you can see, she finds her scratching post a very cozy napping spot.
Thomas—Scratching
Thomas is a 7-year-old community cat who is deeply loved by his caregiver, Tina. Tina says Thomas is a little comedian, extremely smart and full of fun and mischief. And, it seems, he’s eager to show off his scratching skills on all the “scratching posts” his outdoor home provides!
Charlie and Chico—Climbing and Perching
Charlie and Chico are adorable best friends who live together with Christina. Charlie, who is charmingly cross-eyed, is an absolute mama’s boy who loves to cuddle. Chico, meanwhile, enjoys more alone time where he can stare out the window. Despite their differences, Charlie and Chico are two peas in a pod!
Bandit—Climbing and Perching
This is Bandit sitting pretty in the first tree he ever climbed! A Maine Coon mix, Bandit is a big boy who lives up to his name as a stealer of hearts. He’s a great landlord in his rural New Hampshire home, and often gently escorts wild turkeys off his property.
Lexi and Leo—Socializing
Siblings Lexi and Leo have been a together forever and wouldn’t want it any other way. Leo loves to play hide and seek in Lauren’s home, while Lexi prefers to be part of every conversation. Most of all, the two enjoy siting together and gazing out the window.
Alaska, Rusty and a Hungry Stranger—Socializing
Community cats Alaska and Rusty, and their new friend, often walk this fence like a tight rope! Both Alaska and Rusty have been neutered through TNR, and Karen hopes their buddy soon will be, too.
Diablo—Back Cover
Diablo is as handsome and regal as he looks, though he had some rough years in a now-closed shelter before finding a home with the Bensons. Diablo is an independent gentleman who will never be a lap cat, but the Bensons love him for who he is and respect his needs.
