Our 2019-2020 calendar is filled with inspirational stories and photos of beautiful cats—it’s a celebration of the animals Alley Cat Allies works to protect every day of the year. Our supporters from around the world sent in thousands of cat photographs for consideration in our calendar, and these are the entries we featured. We hope you enjoy the photos of these wonderful felines as much as we do!
Ringo—Cover
Ringo's mother was trapped, spayed, and returned outdoors and his three siblings were adopted, but Karen and her husband knew Ringo belonged with them. Today, sweet and gentle Ringo loves watching nature from his enclosed patio.
Jules—President’s Message
Handsome tabby Jules was named after a character in Gayle's favorite comic strip, "Mutts." He can often be found climbing his favorite mesquite tree and surveying his domain from his high perch.
Max—October 2019
At 10 years old, Max still enjoys a good romp in the backyard and playing with his dog brother, Milo. Diane says he loves vanilla ice cream and is a constant and cuddly companion to her daughter.

Aby was waiting alone in a pet shop for a forever home, her kittens already adopted out, when Beverly met her. Loving and sassy, Aby instantly made herself at home and has been with Beverly for 12 years.
Jojo—November 2019
Jojo was badly abused and paralyzed when she was found as a kitten. Then, Vinny took her in. Though she still has health challenges, JoJo can walk again and lives a pretty normal life as a pampered kitty.
Izzy—November 2019 Insert
Izzy walked straight into Carol’s front door when it was opened for her one cold winter night. She’s been there ever since. Her favorite activities are birdwatching through the window and playing with catnip toys.
Leo and Lucia—December 2019
These sweet siblings, adopted together in January 2018, have already brought so much happiness into Kacey’s life. Her two older cats, Melody and Sebastian, also love their two adorable young companions.
Zoey—December 2019 Insert
Zoey was born a community cat but formed a close bond with Nancy. Now, she lives with Nancy in her New Jersey home and is the perfect companion!
Sweetie—Janurary 2020
Since she was adopted from a rescue, Sweetie has brightened Varley's home with her affectionate nature and "heart of gold." When her tail stands up straight and quivers, you know she's ready to play!
Hannah and Chip—January 2020 Insert
Pretty tuxedo Hannah was adopted after Stacy formed a close bond with her while volunteering at her adoption center. Later, Stacy adopted Chip so Hannah would have a friend. The two are now great buddies.
Nutmeg—February 2020
Nine-year-old Nutmeg and her mother, Phoebe, have lived with Tammy for Nutmeg’s entire life. Sweet and spunky, Nutmeg loves playing with Tammy’s chihuahua, Artie, and running around before breakfast.

Daisy—March 2020
Daisy was a kitten small enough to fit in Jen’s palm when they first met at a Florida shelter! Jen bottle-fed and raised Daisy, and now she is a full grown, exceptionally sweet cat who loves to stare at the sky.
Hiro—March 2020 Insert
Hiro first went home with Debra because he had a slight respiratory problem and Debra had veterinary experience. After that, Debra couldn’t bear to give him up! Today, 12-year-old Hiro is 14 pounds of sweet and loving muscle.
Roma—April 2020
Roma’s regal side comes into full bloom when she is outside. Like a queen surveying her kingdom, she loves to sit on her throne (Sarah’s table) and keep a close eye on her subjects and the world around her.
Grayson Geddy Oswald Purr De Lis—April 2020 Insert
Handsome Grayson, a full Maine Coon cat, has a name as large and unforgettable as he is! He and his sister, Harley Quinn, live happily together in Share's home.
Keira—April 2020 Insert
This gorgeous Snowshoe cat is a connoisseur of the arts! Keira enjoys watching British television and listening to music, especially songs with flutes and recorders. She's also a big talker and loves to join in on her family's conversations.
Pretty Girl, Petey, and Copper—May 2020
Pretty Girl is a Pennsylvania community cat cared for by Linda and her family. When she had her adorable kittens, Petey and Copper, Linda decided to adopt them. Today, the brothers are living the good life together in Linda’s home.
Sammy—May 2020 Insert
Sammy was rescued as a tiny kitten before a hurricane hit in Honolulu, Hawaii. Aimee bottle fed and raised Sammy and is the caregiver for his community cat family outdoors. Today, Sammy is a therapy cat and loves his favorite tree in front of Aimee’s painted shed.
Sai Lor Jai—June 2020
Sai Lor Jai (‘little brother’ in Cantonese) and his older brother were adopted together in Hong Kong. The handsome orange tabby could always be found sitting next to Catan, providing purrs and kisses.

Cooper is a loving, sensitive, and very shy kitty living in beautiful New Hampshire. His favorite activities include treats, ear rubs, birdwatching from his perch by the window, and hanging out in the bathtub!
Bobi—June 2020 Insert 2
By day, Bobi is the steadfast protector of Karla's barn. By night, he's an affectionate member of Karla's family who loves being petted and falling asleep with them.
Tom Kitten—July 2020
Tom Kitten, named after the beloved Beatrix Potter character, loves playing with lasers, tussling with his big sister, Maggie, and taking cat naps in his Florida home. He even has his own Instagram page!
Sylvester—July 2020 Insert
Sylvester was 12 weeks old when he first discovered the cat water fountain in Linda’s home. He splashed around in it and got hooked. He loves water so much that Linda bought him a kiddie pool to lay around in!
Willow—August 2020
Willow, a community cat, lives on the campus of the University of Texas at El Paso. She and her family are well-fed by kind volunteers. Willow even has an adoring fan club of students who delight in her silly antics.
Aggie—August 2020 Insert 1
An extraordinary cat, Aggie was the light of Randa’s life for four amazing years. Randa says Aggie’s infectious happy chirp of a meow, her sweet face, and her purr were enough to lift any spirits. She is greatly missed.
Baby—August 2020 Insert 2
Baby is definitely the baby of her family! She's looked after by three older cat sisters and even has a dog sister (who may be her favorite). Though sassy and energetic, Baby also loves to snuggle and fall asleep on her people.
Oliver—September 2020
Oliver, seven years old, follows Karen around so much that he may as well be her shadow. Like all Colorado natives, he loves being outside. His outdoor hobbies include chasing butterflies and snoozing on the deck.
Iva's Kittens—September 2020 Insert
These adorable siblings, Eva, Lúa, Ron, Yin and Jax, were rescued by Gisela along with their mother, Iva. All the kittens were adopted and are now living happily with families of their own.
Lowell—October 2020
Lowell was once a bit skittish, but he eventually warmed up to Sally after plenty of playtime with fun toys. Today, the regal tabby is a spoiled house cat.
Tigger—October 2020 Insert
Tigger, a 10-year-old Colorado community cat, lives with his feline family in Brandy’s horse barn, which has heated beds just for them. A handsome and striking Manx cat, Tigger’s official title is “barn greeter.”
Hikaru—November 2020
Hikaru was born to a community cat cared for by Haley and her mother. Today, he lives inside with Haley and her family and is a very active, vocal cat who loves his people and is loved passionately in return.
Dillon—November 2020 Insert
When mama’s boy Dillon isn’t outdoors patrolling the neighbors' backyards, he enjoys a good nap on the couch or in front of the fire place. His favorite food is fish and his favorite band is, fittingly, Phish.
Patrol Cat—December 2020
Named for his habit of patrolling the far perimeters of his countryside community, Patrol Cat roams far and wide before returning home to refuel with food and affection. Then, he’s off on his next adventure.

Leaona—Feral
Beautiful Leaona is a community cat who lives outdoors with her eight feline family members in an Oregon county park. John has been a caregiver for her and her family for over five years.
An Alley Cat in Granada—Community Cats
This gorgeous community cat lives among the winding cobbled streets of Granada, Spain. Alberto says the friendly but independent kitty followed him around and even seemed to pose for his photos.
Rocky Graziano—Indoor/Outdoor
Rocky was a shining sun to Janice in the time they spent together. He even once fostered a litter of young kittens, including letting them “nurse” on him. All the cats and people in Janice’s home loved Rocky and he is greatly missed.
Bobbles—Indoor Only
Bobbles hasn’t let his auto-immune disease, Pododermatitis, slow him down. He’s been in remission for over a year and is back to his healthy, sassy self. He runs the household over his brother and four dogs.
Mr. Chompers—Back Cover
When she first spotted Mr. Chompers as a tiny orange kitten hiding in her shed, Jennifer quickly fell in love. She named him for his pastime of chomping on toes. Today, Mr. Chompers enjoys playing with his cat siblings and being held like a baby.
