Helping Community Cats

Fairfax County Animal Shelter

Alley Cat Allies holds workshops on the second Wednesday of every month at 7 p.m. Space is limited, so we request that you RSVP if you plan to attend: e-mail washdc@alleycat.org or call 240-482-1980 ex. 333. 

At the workshop you will:

  • View a video about outdoor cats that illustrates humane trapping.
  • Learn about outdoor cat care and Trap-Neuter-Return.  
  • See a humane box trap demonstration.
  • Learn how to safely deter cats from where they are not wanted.
  • Network and meet other concerned citizens who are helping cats.
