Do I need to submit an update?
If you or your organization is a member of the Feral Friends Network, you need to submit an update unless any one of the following is true:
• You already completed an update questionnaire, either online or one sent to you. The required online questionnaire has several pages and is not the brief one previously used for updates.
• You joined the Feral Friends Network by submitting the new application that was available online beginning 12/21/2007.
• You are outside the United States. Non-US Feral Friends will be asked later to update their information.
To check if you or your organization is a member of the Feral Friends Network, see the instructions under Which update do I use?

Which update do I use? (How do I submit an update?)
Determine whether you personally are an individual member of the Feral Friends Network or whether an organization you are affiliated with is the member. If you received a mailing, fax or other contact
from Alley Cat Allies, it might be clear who the Feral Friend is based on how the item was addressed.
If you're not certain that you or your organization is a Feral Friend or which one is, you can have a list of Feral Friends for your area or state automatically and immediately e-mailed to you via
our online inquiry form. Click here to open the form in a new window then refer back to these instructions if necessary. In the inquiry form, select
one of the first two options on the form's first page. Enter the information on the second page and select "Feral Friends" and either a mile range or request the whole state. Then enter the
confirmation text at the bottom of the form and click Submit.
• If you represent an existing organization Feral Friend of any type including veterinary practices and spay/neuter clinics, use the Organization Update button
above.
• If you are an individual Feral Friend, are not a veterinarian, and want to remain as an individual Feral Friend independent of any organization you might be
affiliated with, use the Individual Non-veterinarian Update button above.
• If you are an individual Feral Friend, are not a veterinarian, and represent an organization that should be a Feral Friend instead,
you can convert your role as a Feral Friend to the organization by using the Individual Non-veterinarian Convert to Your Organization button above.
If both you and the organization want to be Feral Friends, use the Individual Non-veterinarian Update button above for yourself and then complete a new application for
the organization to become a Feral Friend.
• If you are a veterinarian who is an individual Feral Friend, convert your membership to your organization - a private veterinary practice, a spay/neuter clinic,
etc. - if it performs feral cat spay/neuter. We will no longer list individual veterinarians as veterinary Feral Friends since spay/neuter is generally provided through some organization. Use the Individual
Veterinarian Convert to Your Practice or Clinic button above to do this.
A veterinarian can be an individual Feral Friend who provides non-veterinary help - giving Trap-Neuter-Return advice, etc. If you want to remain as an individual Feral
Friend providing non-veterinary help, use the Individual Non-veterinarian Update button above. Please submit both updates if appropriate, one for yourself and one for your practice or
clinic.

Why do I need to submit an update?
So that Alley Cat Allies:
• Is certain you still want to be a Feral Friend and does not give out your contact information if you don’t.
• Has the correct contact information to give out for you.
• Knows the type of help you provide for feral cats so that you are listed correctly.
• Has up to date contact information so that we can keep in regular contact with you as a Feral Friend.
• Can gather additional information so that we better understand our Feral Friends and to learn about your interest in getting involved in other ways.

What will happen if I don’t submit an update?
After several unanswered requests for you to submit an update, Alley Cat Allies will probably remove you from the Feral Friends Network.

I received an update request for an organization I’m no longer with. What should I do?
We would very much appreciate if you would let us know by e-mail so that we don’t inconvenience you with further
update requests. If you have an e-mail address, website address, phone number, mailing address or other contact information for the organization or someone still affiliated
with the organization, please include it.
If you would like to become an individual Feral Friend, go to Feral Friends Network then click the
link for an individual in the Join the Feral Friends Network section of that page.

I think I'm a Feral Friend. Why didn’t I receive an update request?
• If you are outside the United States, you would not have received an update request yet. Non-US Feral Friends will be asked later to update their information.
• If you joined the Feral Friends Network recently, you would not have received an update request yet. New Feral Friends will be asked later to update their information
(unless they applied with the new application in which case no update is needed).
• We might not have up to date contact information for you or might have an error in our records. E-mail us
with your name, organization name if applicable, mailing address, and previous address if it has changed, and we will let you know if you are listed as a Feral Friend.

I had problems trying to complete the update questionnaire. What should I do?
• If the questionnaire returns you to the same page when you click the Next button, it probably means that a question or part of a question which requires an answer has
not been answered. When you click the Next button, red text will be displayed above any required question that has not been answered completely, and you must answer all parts
of the question before you can proceed to the next page.
• If you see the questions but there are no buttons visible to select an answer, see the information here.
