Gifts of Real Estate and Property

Gifts of real estate, jewelry, artwork, motor vehicles, or other forms of property are welcome ways for you to help support Alley Cat Allies’ campaigns, programs, and life-saving work for feral cats.

We make every contribution count for feral cats and kittens. This is as true for gifts of property as it is for gifts of cash, check, credit card, or automatic account withdrawals.

Many Alley Cat Allies supporters are finding that gifts to us of vacation homes or antique jewelry make good sense. We also accept gifts of motor vehicles.

Gifts like these offer an income tax deduction for the full fair market value of the property at the time it is transferred to us. Also, if the property has appreciated (increased in value) during the time you have owned or held it, you can save on any capital gains taxes that you might owe if you were to sell the property yourself.
