October Edition

Thanks to the support of loyal donors like you, we've been very busy this month protecting cats around the country. Here are just a few of our current projects and successes:

Adoptable Cat: Sail Away with Star!
Adoptable Cat - Star

Star got her name from the nautical term "starboard" for her seafaring ways. When workers on Atlantic City's docks tried to catch this wily kitten, she leapt into the water and hid under the dock! But with the help of Alley Cat Allies' Atlantic City Program Manager, she was soon trapped and fostered. Now this rambunctious gray-and-white kitten is looking to sail into your home, where you’ll fall overboard for those big green eyes!

National Feral Cat Day is October 16!
National Feral Cat Day 2010

Saturday is the big day—National Feral Cat Day is here! We can’t wait to see how you celebrate, whether by holding or attending an event in your community, hanging posters, writing letters to the editor, or devoting your Facebook or Twitter status to National Feral Cat Day. You can also help cats that day by making a special gift to Alley Cat Allies. However you celebrate, be sure to take pictures…we’ll ask you for the details after the event.
Support National Feral Cat Day with a gift to Alley Cat Allies.
There’s still time to register your event online.
Visit our National Feral Cat Day webpage for more ways to participate.

Alley Cat Allies Donates $10,000 to New Orleans "Neuter Scooter"

Alley Cat Allies has once again donated $10,000 to the Neuter Scooter Campaign to fund low-cost spay/neuter for feral and stray cats in the Greater New Orleans area during the entire month of October. The Neuter Scooter Campaign is a project of SpayMart and Feline Alliance, encompassing many shelters and animal protection agencies in the New Orleans area. Just one of the many ways Alley Cat Allies is marking the 10th anniversary of National Feral Cat Day!
