ROBINSON SPEAKS AT STATE CAT MANAGEMENT FORUM Launches Pennsylvania’s First Annual “Week for the Animals”
HARRISBURG, PA – Becky Robinson, president of the national advocacy group Alley Cat Allies and a recognized expert on feral and stray cats, will be the featured speaker at the “Cat Management Forum: The Future of Feral Cat Management,” on Saturday, September 20 in Harrisburg, PA. Robinson will discuss the reasons animal control policies that rely on catch and kill for feral cats are costly, cruel, and ineffective.
Studies have found that being killed in animal pounds and shelters is the leading documented cause of death for cats in the United States.
The cat forum is among the first events scheduled for Pennsylvania’s first “Week for the Animals,” September 20-28, a statewide celebration during which animal protection experts, shelters, and rescue groups will host a number of special events throughout the state.
Becky Robinson will be available for media interviews before and after the forum.
