ALLEY CAT ALLIES ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH ANIMAL WORLD USA AND STATES WEEKS FOR THE ANIMALS CAMPAIGN
BETHESDA, MD — Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for stray and feral cats, today announced a partnership with Animal World USA and the States Weeks for the Animals Campaign.
Weeks for the Animals are celebrations taking place across the country each month, kicking off in Florida on February 7, 2009. Throughout these life-changing weeks, animal shelters, rescue groups, educational institutions and humane organizations in each participating state are hosting animal-related special events. Educators, students, businesses, and caring citizens are joining in, planning activities and organizing events to celebrate and help animals. With one small or great action people are showing that they can help save the lives of the precious animals and enrich the multitude of lives they touch.
“Alley Cat Allies is excited at the opportunity to join forces with Animal World USA for these important events,” said Becky Robinson, Alley Cat Allies president and co-founder. “Our participation will be focused on educating the public about Trap-Neuter-Return, the humane, lifesaving program for feral cats.”
“We are honored to partner with one of the primary international leaders in animal welfare, Alley Cat Allies. Over the years ACA’s vision, compassion and conviction for the animals have been an inspiration to us all and are once again proving the power of partnerships can be life-changing,” said Animal World USA president Michelle Buckalew.
Alley Cat Allies will participate at several of the state weeks, with workshops and seminars featuring Becky Robinson and other feral cat experts. Events will be announced and posted on alleycat.org over the next few weeks.
