Feral Kittens When conducting Trap-Neuter-Return, there is always the possibility that your clients will come across young feral kittens or kittens who are not yet weaned from their mothers—orphans or “neonatals.” These kittens can be socialized, fostered, and adopted; they can also be spayed or neutered as long as they weight two pounds.
This section will explain how to socialize and care for feral kittens and how to raise neonatal kittens. You’ll also find protocol and research on early age spay/neuter—since the opportunity to neuter a kitten may not present itself again.
