Trap-Neuter-Return
The veterinary community plays an integral role in Trap-Neuter-Return, a program that improves the lives of cats. Trap-Neuter-Return, also known as TNR, is a program in which cats are humanely trapped and brought to a veterinarian to be evaluated, neutered, vaccinated, and eartipped. Cats friendly to humans and kittens are adopted, while healthy adult feral cats are returned to their outdoor home. TNR helps outdoor cats live healthier lives, without the strains of mating or pregnancy.
This section covers information about Trap-Neuter-Return to help you be educated about and comfortable with how and why it works and the role you can play in your community.
